I opened SuperKOTE Glass in 2001 as a specialist Glass Painter, right at the beginning of the Painted Glass Splashback boom. Since 2001, SuperKOTE Glass has become the leading manufacturer and supplier of all painted and printed glass products to the Building, Design and Architectural industries.
By 2008, we had outgrown our two premises in Brisbane & the Gold Coast so to service our customers more efficiently, we relocated to a larger, purpose built factory to what has now become the manufacturing corridor of Northern New South Wales to Northern Queensland, Yatala / Ormeau. We invested significantly in machinery such as a toughening furnace, polishers, water jets, automatic cutting tables, CNC machine, digital printer, and a new fleet of Hino trucks to deliver our products.
In 2018, we had once again outgrown our factory and decided to go through a major expansion. SuperKOTE Glass more than doubled our floor space by splitting our factory between the existing and another in one of the most iconic buildings on the Gold Coast. We installed a larger toughening furnace, a vertical CNC machine, more polishing machines and a laminate cutting line.
All of our products are manufactured in-house guaranteeing quality control and better lead times. Product research and development is a major part of our success as we are continually travelling abroad searching for the latest in glass design, technology and machinery.
Looking back to 2001 when I started with a spray gun, compressor and other companies glass to paint, to now – a sophisticated specialist in paint, print, toughened & laminate glass – processing, manufacturing and employing over 30 staff is an achievement we are very proud of. It is a testament to the quality of our product and service.
